  One of my favorites in Raleigh ! This is a little hidden gem, I've been here twice and loved what I had. I had the Fajita plate which comes with lettuce, tomatoes, chicken/steak, chips, salsa, and a drink. Love that the fajitas had a little kick to them and the chicken was very well seasoned. This place is pretty affordable and a nice spot to grab a quick bite. I'll be back !

  A 1-star dive; doesn't even deserve half a star!
  
  The lady who waited on us was rude and condescending (I wish that she had been wearing her name tag)!
  
  The tacos were just greasy & nasty with very little cheese. The ground beef was grisly, like it had ground-up bones in it!
  
  When I politely complained to the rude condescending waitress, she said, "You got what you ordered!" And, when I asked to speak to the Manager, she said that he wasn't there.
  
  Final note: I realize that the rent is probably high at Lake Boone Trail Shopping Center but your prices would be way too high, even if the food was excellent---which it's NOT!

  This is very bad food served with poor attitudes for an unreasonable price.
  
  After waiting for the cashier to get off her personal cellphone, I placed an order for a burrito with chicken and two tacos labeled as barbacoa. I had my choice of tables since the entire restaurant was empty. The food arrived at my table quickly.
  
  The burrito was disgusting. It was essentially rice and "cheese product" wrapped in a chemical tasting white flour tortilla. The smell and flavor of the tortilla was so unappealing that I just tore the burrito open and ate some of the innards with a fork. There was a little bit of chicken in there (maybe 20 cents worth) and I thought I saw a few beans.
  
  The two barbacoa tacos were boring and did not taste like barbacoa I've eaten at several Mexican restaurants in the past.
  
  If this food had been good, it would have been overpriced. The price points were criminal for what was served.

  It's been years since we'd been to Chubby's but we stopped tonight before heading to the airport.
  
  We ordered tacos and burritos. The Baja Fish Taco was ok but it was tiny. The Chicken Tinga Burrito was huge but it was bland at best. It was stuffed with rice almost to the exclusion of anything else and it just had a preservative sort of flavor throughout. The salsas were ok but not enough to make the burrito more appealing.
  
  Mexican food ingredients have such good natural flavor but I found none of that here. I wanted to give them at least a 2 but given I barely got halfway through my meal, I just  couldn't. The service is great and the atmosphere is fine but I just can't find anything redeeming in the food.

  First off budget friendly! You get complimentary nachos, the place has a bar and a good selection of salsas and sauces. I tried the Chubbychanga today and I love it, I added their mild salsa mixed with their hot sauce and jalapenos. I really enjoyed it, a filling meal for like 8 bucks? Pretty sick!
